Our guest is Dr. Peter Simmonds, talking about Bangkok airport, radiant cooling and comfort driven building design. We really enjoyed talking to Peter, he is a no-nonsense guy who pushes through where others fear to go.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Peter’s work on Bangkok International Airport (Displacement ventilation & Radiant Cooling)
  • The importance of Mean Radiant Temperature and Thermal Comfort
  • Comfort driven building design

And much more……

Dr. Peter Simmonds has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and another in Research and Development from Reading Technical College and a Master’s degree from HTS, Den Bosch, The Netherlands and a Ph.D. from T.U. Delft. He has been a member of ASHRAE since 1989.
